Do you want to warm up on a cold January day? Then let’s make some popular American hot pots together!

メニュー(menu)：トルティーヤスープ、辛いケージャンガンボ、クラムチャウダー。 各シチューに合わせて、トルティーヤ、ご飯、パンのスープボールも手作りします！

Let it snow! To follow a winter theme, let’s make various sweets that look like soft, white snow! 雪やこんこん！ 冬のテーマに沿って、ふわふわの白い雪みたいな色々なお菓子を一緒に作りましょう！

Christmas Cooking Lesson and Party

クリスマスの軽食 −英語でクッキングレッスンとパーティー！！！

Are you interested in cooking, hospitality and American culture? I would like to invite you to make traditional Christmas party foods and drink with me, and then have a Christmas party together.    
おもてなし料理、アメリカの文化に興味がありますか？ 一緒にクリスマスの 伝統的な軽食を作って、パーティーをするために、皆さんを招待します.

   

メニュー(menu)：Turkey, ham, shrimp cocktail, dips, veggies, salads, pie, Christmas cookies, mulled wine...ターキー、ハム、海老のカクテル、ディップ、野菜、サラダ、パイ、クリスマスクッキー、ホットスパイスワイン等を作ります！

日時 (date and time)：1２月２２日（土） 12:00~16:00   (パーティーは同日の午後４時から始まります。帰宅時間は自由！)

You are also invited to join the Christmas party from 4:00p.m. that same day, also hosted by Cara.  There will be the Christmas party food, Christmas caroling, presents, games, etc.  Please bring a present of about 500yen value (or something you have around the house that you have never used, gift-wrapped), and we will have a fun present exchange!  There is no fee for the party.

また、キャラの家のクリスマス パーティーにも招待します。 同日の午後４時からキャラが開きます。 クリスマス軽食、クリスマス・キャロル、プレゼント、ゲーム等。５００円ぐらいのプレゼント（または、お家にある使用していない要らない物、贈物用に包装した物）を持って来て、楽しいプレゼント交換のゲームをしましょう！参加は無料。

Are you interested in cooking and American culture? Christmas is around the corner and you may be thinking about gifts to buy your friends and family already.  May I suggest making your Christmas gifts this year? Something sweet and made from the heart?
アメリカの文化と料理に興味がありますか？クリスマスがもう間もなくで、もうご家族とお友達に何をあげるか考えているかもしれません。今年はクリスマスプレゼントを自分で作るというのはいかがでしょうか？何か甘くて心を込めて作った物は？

We will make Christmas cookies and candy and lay them nicely in a Christmas tin (for gift giving). This will take a long time to make (about 3 hours total), but you can stay a little later for chatting in English and eating some sweets together after we cook.
一緒にクリスマスクッキーとキャンディーを作って、ギフト用のクリスマスキャンディ缶の中にきれいに並べます。これは時間がかかります（全部で3時間ぐらい）。でも、お菓子を作った後で、ちょっと食べながら英会話ができるので、5時を過ぎてもいられます。

Autumn Pie Cooking Lesson

「秋のパイ」−　英語でクッキングレッスン

Are you interested in American and French autumn desserts?  It’s autumn, pie season!  So, I would like to invite you to make several kinds of pies with Kaori-sensei and me on Sunday, November 11th at my home in Ayase, Adachi-ku. (I will send the address and map to participating individuals later.)
アメリカとフランスの秋のデザートに興味がありますか？秋に入って、パイの季節ですね！ 一緒に色々なパイを作るために足立区綾瀬の私の家に11月11日（日）に皆さんを招待します。（参加者に住所と地図を後で送ります。）

We will make berry cobbler, chocolate caramel and walnut pie, mini apple pies, and chestnut mille-feuille (taught by Kaori-sensei)! This is will take a long time to make (about 4 hours total), so the cooking time will be from 11a.m. until 3p.m., but you can stay later for chatting in English and eating together after we cook.

ベリーコブラー、 チョコレート・キャラメル・くるみパイ、ミニアップルパイ、 マロンミルフィーユ（かおり先生の指導で）を作ります！料理に時間がかかるので（全部で４時間ぐらい）、時間は午前11時から午後3時までです。でも、料理を作った後で、食べながら英会話ができるので、3時を過ぎてもいられます。

The participation fee will be 3500 yen.  I will not charge any extra money for the food or materials.　
 参加料は３５００円です。料理にかかる費用を含みます。

「怖くて楽しいハロウィーン」英語でクッキングレッスンとパーティー

Are you interested in learning how Halloween is really celebrated in America (not just in Disneyland)?  Of course, you probably know that we carve pumpkins and that children go trick-or-treating in their neighborhoods.  But how about the Halloween parties?

アメリカで実際に（ディズニーランドではなくて）どうやってハロウィーンを祝っているかに興味がありますか？向こうでカボチャを彫って、子供達が近所でトリック・オア・トリーティングをする事はもちろん知っていますね。でも、ハロウィーンパーティーは知っていますか？

I would like to invite you to make Halloween party food and enjoy a Halloween party with me on Sunday, October 28th at my home in Ayase, Adachi-ku. (I will send the address and map to participating individuals later.) The time will be from 3p.m. until around 7 or 8p.m.

一緒にハロウィーン軽食を作って、ハロウィーンパーティーをするために、足立区綾瀬の私の家、10月28日（ 日 ）に皆さんを招待します。（参加者に住所と地図を後で送ります。）時間は午後３時から午後７／８時ぐらいまでです。

 

We will make “fingers”, “brains”, “blood cake”, “eyeballs”, “spiders”, etc..  Looks disgusting, but is fun to make and delicious!  

「指」、｢脳｣、「血のケーキ」、「目玉」、「蜘蛛」等を作ります。 気持ち悪そうですが、作るのは楽しくて、美味しいですよ！

It would be great if you could bring a Halloween costume, but it is not required.  If you want to wear a costume, but don't have one, I will lend you a costume from my collection! 

ハロウィーン衣装を着て来たら楽しいですが、必須ではありません。もし、着たくても持っていない場合は、キャラのコレクションから貸しますよ！
